Bakgrund

Grundarna
Foster Gamble — President & Co-Founder of Clear Compass Media; Creator, Host, Co-Writer, and Director of Visual Design for THRIVE
At age 14, I had a vision where I glimpsed what I perceived to be the Universe’s fundamental energy pattern. I spent the next 35 years trying to figure out the details and implications of what I had seen. That quest took two paths: a scientific journey and an exploration of the human potential to navigate successfully through the challenges threatening our survival. THRIVE represents the convergence of these two paths.

While at Princeton University, I helped to create their first film-making department. At the time, the emergence of a global media delivery system seemed likely, and my love of film combined with my concern for the planet inspired me to focus on what would be the most critical content to one day deliver through that system.

In my search for a way out of our violence and demise, I discovered Aikido — the non-violent martial art — which proved for me the possibility of being simultaneously powerful and gentle. I earned a third degree black belt and trained in and taught Aikido for 15 years.

Applying Aikido principles to daily life informed my professional career: I created a training and technology company, MindCenter, that employed brainwave biofeedback to help people learn how to manage stress and to tune their consciousness. I also created Interaction Dynamics, a training program for mastering skills in communication, team-building and conflict resolution for couples, business teams, schools and families across the United States. I combined Aikido energy principles and mind fitness techniques in Zonesport Training, which tapped my passion for sports in helping high level athletes to enhance their performance. Addressing the demands of balancing my own personal, family and professional lives led me to create a program called LifeBalance.

Furthering my exploration of what was keeping humanity from thriving, I spent nearly a decade “following the money” in every sector of human endeavor. The process revealed an understanding of our predicament that led me to create the strategic solutions offered in THRIVE. My exploration of “living geometry” — how nature builds the “material” world, came to fruition in 1997 when I co-convened the Sequoia Symposium, a multi-disciplinary scientific think tank exploring perspectives on “Unification Theory.”

There, the primary patterning that the universe uses to sustain healthy systems was clarified and cohered, as was its use as a blueprint for us to design sustainable, all-inclusive technologies and social systems. This discovery represents the convergence of science and the evolution of consciousness that I set out to explore after my initial vision, and is the “code” that is featured in the documentary film, THRIVE, and on this website.

I live in Santa Cruz, California with my wife Kimberly Carter Gamble.

Kimberly Carter Gamble — CEO, Clear Compass Media
Kimberly Produced, Directed and Co-Wrote one of the most widely viewed documentaries in history: THRIVE: What on Earth will it Take?. She is currently Producing, Directing, Co-Hosting and Co-Writing the sequel: THRIVE II: This is What it Takes.

Kimberly is founder and CEO of Clear Compass Media, Thrive Movement International and ThriveOn.

All of her work is designed to help up-level people’s sense of what is possible so that they stop settling for less. Toward that end, she focuses on breakthrough innovations and technologies that empower people and heal the planet in unprecedented ways.

Lee Waterworth — Entrepreneur in Residence & Associate Producer
Lee is the mastermind behind the distribution platform and strategy that THRIVE has relied on for its successful dissemination around the world.

Inspired by this success, Lee went on to utilize the underlying technology to found and create Yekra.com, a revolutionary digital distribution and marketing engine that rethought the way we connect content with audience. Yekra released thousands of movies, drove record-breaking online releasing revenues for filmmakers and pioneered a direct-to-consumer model for producers that is now employed by major technology companies around the globe. As a standalone company however, Yekra did not survive — for reasons that would feel quite at home on an episode of HBO’s Silicon Valley.

Since Yekra Lee has, i) worked as Entrepreneur in Residence to lead the turn-around of the USC Annenberg Norman Lear Center’s Media Impact Project, a media data analytics platform funded by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation that measures the impact of media, ii) returned to work with Foster and Kimberly as Entrepreneur in Residence at Thrive Connect. Since his return he has worked on the launch of Thrive Health Access and its first new healing modality — a state-of-the-art medical technology called HemaLucent, iii) helped launch and publicize Rythmia, the first medically-licensed plant medicine resort in the world, and iv) continued to consult and work with numerous creators, including THRIVE, on the production and distribution of life-changing content.

In his formative years, Lee worked the evenings in London as an actor treading the boards of the West-End. During his time as an actor, he worked continuously playing many roles including Joseph in Joseph and the Amazon Technicolor Dreamcoat and Roger in RENT. In the daytime, he began his business career working for the experiential marketing division of Grey Communications International, where he was Account Director and oversaw a prestigious client list ranging from Fosters Group International and their International Cricket and Rugby Sponsorship, to the Linda McCartney British Music Festivals Sponsorship.

Originally from Manchester, England, he now enjoys the Californian sunshine with his wife in Los Angeles.

Marshall Lefferts — Associate Producer of THRIVE
Inspired at age 19 by both the sublime power of Aikido and the pragmatic vision of Buckminster Fuller, I have been a student of cosmic design in the physical and metaphysical realms ever since. Having a whole-systems perspective on life, I have brought skills as a designer and producer to various projects for the Buckminster Fuller Institute, as co-director of the Foundation for Conscious Evolution, as a founding collaborator of the Gene Keys, and as a board member ofThe Resonance Project Foundation. I have also created the Cosmometry Project, a knowledgebase for diverse research into the cosmic geometry underlying the fractal-holographic nature of the cosmos.

Collaborating on THRIVE is a highlight in my life as it brings together all of my skills and knowledge into a comprehensive offering that, at its core, is founded upon an unquestionable faith in the integrity of life when lived in harmony with nature’s fundamental design and principles of wholeness, balance and beauty. All of these are also readily found in the practices of music, photography and jo-staff martial arts which are an essential part of my life’s journey.

Claire Darling — Associate Producer
Claire Darling started working with Clear Compass Media after graduating from UCSC with a Politics degree in 2006. Since working on the movie, THRIVE, Claire has researched, written about, and become an advocate for many of the issues presented in THRIVE. She has always been interested in social change movements and community-based activism and hopes to help inspire a movement around THRIVE. Claire is particularly passionate about campaign-finance reform, alternative economic models, and collaborative whole-systems organization. She enjoys gardening, hiking, and biking around her current home of Santa Cruz, CA.

Nick Alheit — Associate Producer
As I began my work on THRIVE at the age of 19 I was exposed to a tremendous amount of new and shocking information about the troubles taking place in our world today. However, working with Foster and Kimberly and seeing first hand what people are doing to stop these injustices has not only kept me positive throughout my work but also inspired me to be part of the solution. Since finishing my studies at the University of California Santa Barbara, I now live in my hometown of Santa Cruz, CA and work full time with THRIVE. I feel privileged to work with such an innovative and unique organization making real positive change in the world.
